Abstract: The suburbs of London are often seen as derogatory spaces in traditional British literature. In the context of globalization, cultural landscapes in the suburbs have also begun to change as more and more ethnic groups have flooded in. By tracing the cultural identity of protagonist Karim, Hanif Kureishi breaks the stereotyped image of the suburbs in British novels and deconstructs the opposition between the suburbs and cities. Kureishis attempt to create a new cultural model in the suburbs not only proved that the suburbs have become multicultural producers in the context of globalization, but also revealed a fluid and diverse concepts of cultural identity.

摘要： 伦敦郊区在传统英国文学中常被视作贬义的空间。在全球化背景下，随着流散族裔的纷纷涌入，郊区的文化景观开始发生变化。小说《郊区佛爷》中，作家哈雷夫·库雷西通过描述主人公克里姆的文化身份寻找之旅，打破了英国小说中郊区的固有形象，解构了郊区和城市的二元对立模式。他试图用郊区来塑造一种新的文化模式，不仅证明了郊区在全球化背景下已经成为多元文化的生产地，也揭示了流动、多元的文化身份观念。
