Abstract: The Tribulations of a Chinaman in China written by Jules Gabriel Verne was set in China. It was not translated into Chinese until 2010. The Chinese images in the novel which had been affected by “China craze” in Europe of the eighteenth century are studied by use of the imagology of comparative literature.

摘要： 《一个中国人在中国的遭遇》是凡尔纳创作的一部完全以中国为背景的小说，2010年才在中国有了首译本。运用比较文学形象学的方法，从形象学的角度分析在18世纪欧洲掀起的“中国热”风潮余温的影响下，凡尔纳笔下的中国人集体形象。
