Abstract: The effect of relevance theory on translation practice is worth studying. According to relevance translation theory, the communicative clues arising from the language representation can help readers to the interpretation intended by the communicator and contribute to the contextual effects. In this view, especially in fiction translation, the translator must consider to preserve the communicative clues, like semantic, pragmatic, syntactic, phonetic language representation of the original work, so as to help the readers of translation derive the original intentions of the author, and have the same feelings as the original readers. On the analysis of the examples in Love in a Fallen City, a good grasp of the communicative clues would properly and effectively recreate the intentions of the original in its equivalent translation.

摘要： 关联理论对翻译实践的影响和作用值得研究。关联翻译理论认为文章语言所提供的交际线索能够引导读者获得交际者的本意，具有凸显语境效果的交际价值。根据这一观点，翻译时尤其是小说翻译必须考虑保留原文中的交际线索，即保留原文的语义、语用、句法、语音等语言表征，从而帮助译文读者推导出原文作者的意图，获得和原文读者相同的阅读感受。基于对《倾城之恋》译作的分析，探讨如何把握好原文的交际线索，以便达到小说翻译意图的合理再现。
