Abstract: Back to the texts of HU Shi about freedom and tolerance and combined with a number of contemporary research and historical point of view of freedom and tolerance of the famous. The opinion of the concept of tolerance of HU Shi as introspection is promoted. Introspection played a major role in promoting in the formation process of HU Shis concept of tolerance. Introspection is the weapon that breaks the psychological roots of intolerance. Further it is pointed out that the concept of introspection has an important position on the HU Shis theory.

摘要： 回到胡适关于自由与容忍的相关文本，提出胡适的容忍观的关键在于反思。胡适的容忍观的形成过程中，反思起到了主要的推动作用，关于如何能做到容忍的问题，反思则是破除不容忍心理根源的武器。结合当代相关研究及历史上一些自由与容忍较有名的观点，进一步指出反思于胡适容忍观之独特及重要的地位。
