Research on BBC Documentary Treasures of Chinese Porcelain: Based on Iconography and Ideology

基于图像学与意识形态的BBC纪录片 Treasures of Chinese Porcelain研究

Abstract: Treasures of Chinese Porcelain is a documentary about the manufacture and development of Jingdezhen porcelain produced by Broadcasting British Corporation (BBC). The shooting background, content and important points of this documentary are summarized and combed. On this basis, the image and ideology are studied. Furthermore, it talks about multipleoccurence lens about Vitoria, the Albert Museum of ceramics, Taoyetu, blue screen, mold production pollution. It is argued that the documentary has a strong “European centrism” ideological color, which has a great impact on the narrative of the documentary. Documentary shooting should reflect the understanding of the real world and the real history, it also should be based on full understanding of real world and history, while culture communications between China and foreign countries should be based on full communication and recognition.

摘要: 梳理纪录片Treasures of Chinese Porcelain的拍摄背景、内容及重要观点,进行图像学与意识形态分析,对片中多次出现的维多利亚和阿尔伯特博物馆陶瓷、《陶冶图》、蓝白色画面、生产污染等镜头进行探讨。该片具有较浓厚的“欧洲中心主义”意识形态色彩,对其叙述产生了较大影响。纪录片的拍摄应体现对真实世界与历史的了解,而中外文化的交流更应建立在充分沟通、认同的基础之上。
