碳交易制度对企业绿色创新的影响 ――基于中国碳排放权交易试点的准自然实验

Research on the Impact of Carbon Trading System on Green Innovation of Enterprises A Quasi Natural Experiment Based on Chinas Carbon Emission Trading Pilot

摘要: 通过匹配碳交易试点企业数据与 2009―2020年中国上市企业绿色专利数据,运用多期PSM-DID模型,研究碳交易制度对企业绿色技术创新的影响。实证结果表明:碳交易制度显著促进企业绿色技术创新总量的增长,但未能实现绿色技术创新质量的提升,缺乏突破式创新;碳交易制度对企业绿色技术创新存在非对称性影响;碳交易制度显著促进非资源型城市、中小型企业和非重污染行业企业的绿色创新水平,但对资源型城市、大型企业和重污染行业企业的绿色创新提升效应并不显著;碳交易制度能够提高公众环境关注度,进而间接促进企业绿色创新发展。

Abstract: At present, a large number of studies focus on environmental regulation and enterprise green innovation. However, for Chinas carbon trading pilot policy, especially from micro perspective, the study on the carbon trading policy effects on enterprises green innovation needs to be further enriched and indepth. In view of this, by matching the data of carbon trading pilot enterprises with those of green patents data of Chinese listed enterprises from 2009 to 2020, the study uses the multitemporal PSMDID model to estimate the carbon trading policy effects on enterprises green technological innovation. The empirical results show that the carbon trading system significantly promotes the growth of the total amount of green technology innovation, but fail to improve the quality of green technological innovation and the breakthrough innovation activities of enterprises. Carbon trading system has an asymmetric influence on the green technology innovation of enterprises, and can significantly promote the green innovation level of enterprises in nonresourcebased cities, small and mediumsized and nonheavy polluting industries. But the green innovation promotion effect on resourcebased cities and large and heavy polluting enterprises is not significant. In addition, the study finds that the carbon trading system can improve the public environmental concern, and then indirectly promote the green innovation development of enterprises.
