Abstract: The Chinese present age history theme movie has experienced the winding developing process. Such fifth generation directors of representative as Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige have pushed to the peak the ancient costume big pieces in the new century. Through simple combination to the Chinese contemporary history theme movie development condition, the significance that the fifth generation directors have created is macroscopically analyzed for more such movies in the future.

摘要： 中国当代历史题材电影经历了曲折的发展过程，以张艺谋、陈凯歌为代表的第五代导演在新世纪将古装电影推向了高峰。通过对中国当代历史题材电影发展状况进行简单梳理，从宏观上分析了第五代导演古装大片创作的意义，肯定了新世纪古装大片的开拓性价值。剖析国人后殖民主义与民粹主义奇妙交织的复杂文化心态，认为应制止无底线的媒体与网络暴力，努力使中国导演创作出更多展现中华民族文化特征的历史大片。
