Abstract: The translation criticisms have been made at three levels based on GU Hongmings translation of Confucian classics. The appraisal theory of axiology helps to expound the shift of Gu from appraisal subject as reader to value subject as translator. The moral value of GUs translation on the fourth level stresses unity in conformity with law and purpose in translation criticism.

摘要： 围绕辜鸿铭儒家经典翻译产生了三个层面的翻译批评，价值哲学中的评价理论有助于分析和阐释辜氏从读者身份的评价主体向译者身份的价值主体的转变。作为第四层批评，对辜氏翻译的道德价值评价强调翻译批评的合规律性与合目的性的统一。
