Abstract: Ngugi Wa Thiongo is one of the most famous novelists of the 20th century throughout Africa. The most outstanding representative work of his is Petals of Blood. It tells us the process of modernization of Ilmorog in Kenya. Through the past fragment review of the four heroes, the novel gradually reveals Kenyas social problems after independence. From the postcolonial perspective, the process of Ilmorog in Kenya is analyzed from a place of suffering from lack of water into a prosperous town and the authors anticolonial consciousness is revealed from exposing the link between bureaucratcapitalism and the international multinational company and their ugly face towards the oppression and plunder of the national economy.

摘要： 恩古吉·瓦·提安哥是20世纪非洲最著名的小说家之一。其最出色的代表作《碧血花瓣》讲述肯尼亚伊尔莫格村的现代化改造过程，通过四位主人公对过往片段的回顾，作品逐步揭示出独立后的肯尼亚的社会问题。本文拟从后殖民批评视角解读小说，通过分析肯尼亚伊尔莫格村从一个饱受缺水之苦的地方变成了繁华城镇的过程，揭露本国官僚资本与国际跨国公司的联系，以及他们勾结在一起对民族经济实行压迫和掠夺的丑恶面目，进而彰显作者的反殖民意识。
