Abstract: The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories by Angela Carter embodies outstanding female gothic characteristic, with the uncanny bridal image. Carter endeavors to write totally different images of wedding ceremony, wedding gown and the bride. She uses an extremely exaggerated and tortured method in describing brides experience to show the uneasiness of women at the point of role transition. She uses the perspective of women all the way in the story, taking into consideration womens biology and psychology, thus manages to show her concerns and sympathies for women.

摘要： 安吉拉·卡特的短篇故事集《染血之室与其他故事》有着突出的女性哥特特质， 而其中的新娘形象更是阴郁诡异。卡特对婚礼、婚纱、新娘形象进行了突破传统的书写， 引入哥特元素，以夸张扭曲的手法书写新娘的境遇，目的是为了凸显女性在面临角色转换之际内心的巨大不安。她从女性视角出发，考虑女性的生理特点和心理特点，表达了对女性的关怀。
