Abstract: As the first western-style printing press in China, East India Companys Press published a series of translations of Chinese classics while introducing advanced western printing technology, thus becoming an important institution of spreading the Chinese learning to the west. By introducing the background of establishing the press and the translations of Chinese classics it published, its related publishing activities are analyzed from the aspects of content control and technology assistance. It is pointed out that the press is a significant motive for the overseas spread of the Chinese language, literature and culture in the early 19th century.

摘要： 作为中国境内第一家西式印刷出版机构，澳门印刷所在引进西方先进印刷技术的同时出版了一系列中国典籍英译作品，成为当时中学西传的一方重镇。本文介绍澳门印刷所成立的背景，梳理其中国典籍英译出版物概况，从选题控制和技术赞助两方面分析其中国典籍英译出版活动，指出澳门印刷所是19世纪早期中国语言、文学和文化海外传播的重要推手。
