Abstract: “Xinan Li”, “Shihao Li” and “Tongguan Li” are the classic poems written by the poetry saint Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty. However, there are few English versions of these poems. As the leading authority in the translation field, XU Yuanchong finished the excellent language transference of “San Li” with his exquisite skills. The process of poetry translation involves the aesthetic features of “the three beauties” which include message beauty, prosodic beauty and image beauty. And “the three beauties” have set up a good example for classical poetry translation in China. Appreciation and translation of “San Li” poems from the perspective of “three beauties” can not only help readers appreciate the differences between the English and the Chinese cultures, but also enjoy the creative beauty of poetry translation.

摘要： 俗称“三吏”的《新安吏》《石壕吏》《潼关吏》是“诗圣”杜甫的经典之作，对其英文译介却为数不多。作为翻译大家，许渊冲以精湛的翻译技巧在“三吏”诗歌翻译中再现了“三美论”之意美、音美、形美的美学特征，堪称诗歌英译的典范。从“三美论”视角品鉴许渊冲对“三吏”的英译，既可以感受诗歌英译的创造性美感，也可以得到英汉文化差异带来的艺术享受。
