Abstract: Based on the related articles of professor CHEN Zhongcheng, it is proposed that due attention should be paid to the conciseness in translating laws and rules. Specific aspects in achieving conciseness are summarized, such as, using concise and technical terms, readjusting the Chinese sentence structure, and omitting the unnecessary and stylized expression in Chinese etc. Furthermore, the concerning reasons why clumsy and burdensome target translation is created are also analyzed, and finally some solutions and translation methods are provided.

摘要： 基于陈忠诚教授的相关文章，提出法律法规翻译中需要注意简洁性，总结简洁性具体表现的方面，比如词汇英译的简洁、调整句子结构达成的简洁和摈弃汉语程式化的表达法等，分析英译本中拖沓累赘产生的原因，并给出解决对策和思路。
