摘要: 空间组织在人类的认知中占据着中心地位。空间隐喻是语言系统中最基本的隐喻,生活中诸多抽象概念都是通过空间隐喻来构建的。空间具有方向性,分为水平和垂直空间。专注汉语空间形容词“横”的研究,分析该词在语言中的隐喻化方式与语义的获得和发展,旨在进一步揭示汉民族空间隐喻的特征。

Abstract: Spatial organization is identified as the center of the human cognition. Its metaphorization, indispensable to the language system, contributes to the construction of numerous abstract concepts in life. Space can be either horizontal or vertical. The spatial adjective “heng (horizontal)” in Chinese is centered on, its meanings as well as its metaphorical modes are analyzed in a hope to elicit further understanding of the characteristics of Chinese spatial metaphors.
