摘要： 梳理前辈时贤对韵律的论述发现，韵律对于汉语的词法句法均具有制约作用。在英汉翻译过程中，译者应当充分考虑韵律因素。

Abstract: Previous studies on the significance of prosody in the Chinese language are reviewed. Prosody constrains the word formation and syntax of Chinese. Hence in the EnglishChinese translating process, translators should take prosodic factors into consideration.
