摘要: “身份表演”是近来非裔文学研究引入的一个新的理论术语。它不仅提供了一个解读种族压迫等社会顽疾的独特视角,也成为黑人作家向固化的族裔身份宣战的新据点。小说《孩子的愤怒》中,作家聚焦现代美国社会的非裔族群,记述非裔女性在种族主义和男权制度的双重压迫下多样的“身份表演”方式,剖析“身份表演”背后的权力话语关系,揭示族裔身份的虚假性和本质性特征,肯定多元、流动的少数族裔身份观。

Abstract: “Identity performance” is a new theoretical term recently introduced into the study of AfricanAmerican literature. It not only provides a unique perspective on social ills such as racial oppression, but also becomes a new stronghold for black writers to wage war on entrenched ethnic identities. In God Help the Child, Morrison focuses on the African ethnic groups in the modern American society, describes the performance of AfricanAmerican females under the double oppression of racism and patriarchy, analyzes the power discourse behind identity performance, reveals the falsity and essentialism of ethnic identity, and affirms the multiplicity, fluidity of identity.
