Abstract: Orlando by Virginia Woolf is a fantasy in which sexual identity is explored profoundly and ahead of its time. Even the minor characters in it, including the first love Sasha, the wooer Archduke, the friend Nell and the husband Shelmerdine, who play important roles in the evolvement of Orlandos sexual consciousness, challenge gender norms in their distinctive ways. In the light of gender study and feminist theories, they offer us a new perspective to understand Woolfs view of gender issues.

摘要： 弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的奇幻小说《奥兰多》对性别身份进行了深刻而超前的探讨，小说中依次出场的几位次要人物——奥兰多初恋萨沙、追求者大公、朋友奈尔和丈夫谢尔虽然着墨不多，却在不同的阶段对主人公奥兰多性别意识的变化起了重要的推动作用，且都从各自不同的角度挑战了性别规范。在性别研究和女性主义理论的烛照下，这几位次要人物为更全面解读伍尔夫的性别观提供了新的视角。
